Visual Design

Picture
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Design is knowing which ones to keep.
-Scott Adams

About the Class

Visual design takes the form of charts, drawings, boxes and more. In this shortened version of the first course for the Visual Design and Imaging pathway, students acquire basic knowledge of graphics in communication industries. This is a project based class where we will explore the principles of design to create 2D designs.

Communication

It is expected that you check Google Classroom at least once every day for announcements and assignments. You can ask questions by leaving a comment on that particular assignment. You can also email me (mo_lawrence@mogadore.net) with any questions and my goal will be to respond back within 24 hours.

Policies

ATTENDANCE.
  • In-person students are expected to be sitting in their assigned seats when the bell rings. If not, they are considered tardy.
  • Online students. Participation in any scheduled Zoom meetings and completing all assignments by the deadlines will serve as your attendance record. Failure to do so will be the same as an in-person student not showing up to class.

GRADING.
l assignments are expected to completed by the deadline. Late work will be accepted up to a week after the due date for half credit. After a week, work will not be accepted.
